In the diet of Sichuan people, as long as you add spicy bean paste, no matter how far you go, you will feel like you are in your hometown. Spicy Bean Paste is also called Doubanjiang.
The main ingredients for Liziqi to make doubanjiang are mildew douban and chili peppers. If you don’t know how to make mildew douban, you can find it in the vegetable market or online.

Be sure to wear gloves when chopping peppers. I didn’t wear it because I was afraid of being told by unfamiliar fans that I was posing for a show. My hands were sore for three days. So when chopping peppers, be sure to wear disposable or rubber gloves. Do not splash on skin or in eyes.

Finally, I used fresh and spicy bean paste to stir-fry with some garlic sprouts, green and red peppers and pork belly to make the most authentic Sichuan-flavored twice-cooked pork. See the video for details.
