The temperature in early spring has lasted for a long time without warming. February is over and the temperature hasn’t picked up yet. It is still very cold in Sichuan these days, so everyone must pay attention to keep warm. Liziqi has been too tired in recent days and has no appetite, so she just wants to make some appetizers.

Pickled Radishes
When it comes to appetizers, the first thing that comes to my mind is sour radish. The delicious old duck soup with sour radish is a famous Sichuan secret dish. I used to pickle some pickled radishes. When I’m at leisure, I eat pickled radishes directly as a snack.

There were some leftover radishes in the field last winter, and this time I picked them and marinated them. The little red fruit in the video is a variety of cherry radish, and in some places it is called a small water radish. I planted them late, and they are not quite grown yet.

After washing the radish, I dry it and cut it into small pieces. Then I put it in a jar and marinate it in salt water. It’s the same way to make Sichuan pickles the year before. See the video for details.
Making Old Duck Soup With Pickled Radish
Old duck soup with pickled radish, this is a very simple and easy dish. I cut the duck meat into pieces, then add ginger slices and cooking wine, and finally put water and a little onion ginger and stew it. Basically nothing else needs to be added. See the video for details.


Making Strawberry Wine
The greenhouse in the video was originally built by me for dragon fruit last year. Later, I was worried that the strawberry would be killed by the frost and transplanted it. In order to serve this squeamish strawberry, I have to use the heater to heat the shed on winter nights.

But the shed was so small that no bees came in to pollinate. So I had to put some honey on the twig and hang it at the mouth of the shed to attract the bees to pollinate, so that I could produce strawberries.

I finally waited until a few were ripe, I picked them fresh and made the strawberry wine.
